Three successive generations have built a national network specializing in the sale of character properties. The Patrice Besse Group is a team of 170 professionals with distinctive backgrounds—photographers, architects, École du Louvre graduates, art historians, former business owners and executives, journalists, and more.

Each member receives bespoke in-house training that blends Culture and Commerce—the two pillars of our business, as defined by Patrice Besse.

Culture & Commerce

Culture through the history and architecture of the places we select—whether châteaux, manor houses, maisons de maître, as well as rural heritage, ruins, religious buildings, and all forms of vernacular architecture—without preconceptions about era or location.

Commerce, because our mission is to understand, analyze, and value these properties so we can place them with their next owners under the best possible conditions.

Nationwide Presence

Across France, châteaux, historic residences, manor houses, priories, hunting estates, forests, mills, fortified farms, stud farms, maisons de maître, townhouses, rectories (presbyteries), hôtels particuliers (private mansions), farmsteads, 20th-century architectural heritage, wine estates, and agricultural properties—as well as any building of character selected by our regional managers—regularly enrich our portfolio. This network of associates, anchored to our Paris headquarters, ensures tailored support for both vendors and buyers.

Our Group was the first to receive an international award—presented at UNESCO by the IIPP (International Institute for Promotion and Prestige)—in recognition of our contribution to the safeguarding of Cultural and Architectural Heritage (“International Recognition for the Safeguarding of Cultural and Architectural Heritage”).
